From iconic portraits of celebrities to appropriated Renaissance masterpieces, the more than one hundred objects on view demonstrate how the icon played with styles and symbolism from Catholic art history, carefully reframing them within the context of Pop art and culture. FRIEZE NEW YORK ART FESTIVAL AT RANDALL'S ISLAND PARK Art enthusiasts wait every year for the annual return of this visually inspiring event uniting more than 1,000 artists from 130 global galleries on Randall’s Island. Listen in on one of the fair’s famous talks or take home a specialty piece from one of the artists, all while enjoying views of the New York City skyline.
